Vercel is a popular front-end cloud platform. It allows developers to easily spin up hosting resources quickly with a few clicks. Vercel also maintains the popular Next.js framework.

Spend management is a new feature on Vercel Pro accounts. It allows admin users to set spending limits on the metered resources Vercel offers. You can also enable notifications and trigger webhooks when certain thresholds are met. This is an important feature for Agencies and freelancers so you can cap monthly spend and prevent huge bills.

Head over to Vercel admin and go to the “Billing” section. Next, scroll down to the “Spend Management”.

After you toggle on Spend Management, you can configure the following:

1. A spending limit set in $
2. Pause deployment toggle
3. Notifications when threshold is reached

Set a webhook URL, to receive a POST request when the amount is reached.Build hooks are URLs you can use to trigger new builds and deployments. This is helpful in updating dynamic content on your static site.

Build hooks are an important part of updating your static site from a content management system and applicant tracking system.
